I vote for something '70-ish. You know, the current green captures that well. What about a kind of orange?

Best orange ever:

google-fu finds me the color palettes for the Porsche 914........and I'm finding a lot of things I like here :-)
Thanks for the push in that direction!
Volkswagen had a really nice silver blue metallic in the 70's. Bmw also had a similar shade. I painted a Saab Sonnet the VW color with the rockers and the bottom of the nose blacked out to match the rockers. It looked awesome and gave the car a shorter leaner look.
My only other suggestion is to paint the door frame around the window a semi-gloss black. That will hide the frame in the windows, giving you a sleeker coupe-like look. Rest of the car a solid color.

That is the creamsickle orange I was referring to on the last page!
Clearly you lot have not heard of MSP Spicy Orange Metallic. Let me fix that for you.
Yes, I am openly a mazda paint whore. but they make so many good colors!
I think a late '60's early '70's Alfa Romeo red (just a hint of orange in it instead of bluer reds used earlier) would look great.

What size Fuch's did you get ? And do you have any pictures of them on your car ?
I'll second the flat black B pillar thought. I have a Puma GTI with that treatment. The doors window frame are powder coated semi-gloss black and the B pillar is blacked out too.
Wasn't there a whole thread here on brown 911's a little while back?
I think the metallic brown would be better
Other sports cars look good in brown too.
I agree with Javelin about blacking out the window frame on the doors and I'd black out the B-pillar too.
I'll leave it up to you if you want to add any stripe, but if you did...
Since it's fiberglass, I'd be tempted to use a colored gelcoat on it--which can be sanded/buffed like really thick paint.
Check out the awl-grip line of gelcoats...

That's how the Bricklin bodies were made. You can buff them to be ridiculously smooth. I've done two, and they both turned out really nice.
Atomic Orange Effect? It's a C5 Corvette color. It's different and looks good in sunlight. Really like your PUMA

I love the car, but I would vote for something other than the current green. Not sure what, though. How about dark metallic gray?
I'm with Woody on the dark metallic gray. That would look fantastic.
Superformance Daytona coupe, body lines are similar:
I think I'd even go a bit darker. Really cool car, BTW!
I really really like the idea of classic gloss French blue. The car has that kind of classic but slightly quirky styling that I think would look great in it, and it wouldn't come off as a wannabe car to most people who'd see it, unlike red (Ferrari) or BRG (Jag).
My vote goes to black and white, or perhaps Sepia.
But seriously, it deserves a period color. The gulf color scheme would be great, but too derivative. It looks Italian. See what colors (other than Red) were offered by the italian makes in the early 60s.
