jack storage

Anyone have any good ideas for storing jacks and jackstands in a garage? Used to hang the stands on the wall but have no wall space in new house. Jacks (4) are just on the floor against the wall. 

I usually just roll my floor jacks under a car and let the handle stand vertically alongside the car.

I roll my jacks under my workbench with the handle out and up.  

i store them under the workbench but the problem is that they stick out just a touch past the edge of the work bench and that is also a walking path which means they can be a tripping hazard.  To mitigate this, I try to put them all the way in the front corner but that is a problem as I have a 24' garage with a 16' door centered I only have 4' between the wall and door but the footer of the floor sticks out about 5" past the wall and the track of the garage is a few inches outside the garage door.  This means that doesn't work on a full size floor jack without sitting at a pretty severe angle waisting a ton of space under the work bench.  It's a problem that i haven't solved just yet.

Mine are rolled under the back of whatever car is in the shop with the handles sticking straight up. 

I have a space under one of the shelving units that's dedicated for jacks and stands.  The handles stick up and sort of block access to the shelves, but it's simple enough to just push them down and out of the way.

Not a whole lot you can do with jacks. Since I just turned 80 and since I don't use them too often I think I'll remove the handles and stick them in a corner and slide the jacks under the work bench. Then when I need one I'll just grab a handle and put it on. Now for those pesky stands. (4 3-ton and 2 12-ton).

Those 12 ton units are no joke!  I've got a pair that I had to move last night to be able to roll the engine stand out and moving those just about wiped me out.  I've thought about putting them on some sort of rolling platform, but I'd rather drag them across the floor than lift them on and off a dolly....

My jack stands fit under the 3-step stairs from the garage into the house (small at front, big at the back).  Trolley jacks are along the side wall, and I use one of the handle as reference when backing into the spot.

My 3-ton jack stands are aluminum and they sit on a top shelf out of the way. My 12-ton stands are stupid heavy, they slide under a shelf. 

If you have empty jackstands, you need another project to put on them...or just have really unreliable cars!

Stored under the end of the bench as well. Good idea about pulling the handles, though. That might help save me some space....
