If I hypothetically wanted to move a slide in camper from one truck to another, what would the cheapest/easiest way be to do it?  I think it weighs about 1700 lbs, and these seem to be what people who have them use.  If there was an easy and cheap way to get it the camper in question would be a very good deal but I don't want the dead square body Chevy it's currently installed in.

Follow that link. I built a couple for my Alaskan camper using trailer tongue jacks and a welder. Total cost was less than $200.

If it's just a quick move from one truck to another, do you know anyone with a 2 post lift?

It's actually nearly that exact thing but not a cabover.  I could probably get it for ~$1k but the truck it's in is in a field and doesn't run.  If I was going to do it I would have to rent a truck to get it home, because I don't own anything to put it in but want to buy a truck anyway.  Probably too complicated to make it happen fast enough but it would be cool to have.

I've used jacks pretty much like those to do the same thing except both trucks were running. Gotta be real careful about alignment when backing under the camper.

I used to set mine on a trailer for storage. You could haul it on one as well.

You'll need to log in to post.
