At times, I realize that something is not for me.  And I find peace in accepting that, and in letting the thing go to be whatever it has to be.

Crazy as hell, yes.  Inexplicable?  Undoubtedly.  But, thankfully, not my problem.

Exactly the way I feel, given that the only Jaguar I'd likely ever own is at least 20 years old by now, and I've got a higher probability of being the first guy to play pickleball on Mars than I do of buying a new Jaguar today.

If the goal of this campaign is to introduce a new Jaguar, they need to hurry up and have a new Jaguar to introduce.

This is starting to feel like they are copying GM from the brand management era, thinking that they can make the same car design appeal to different buyers with branding and marketing campaigns to keep people from noticing that the Grand Prix was a Regal with plastic body cladding.

They must figure that if Ketamine Boy Musky can promise the moon (or is it Mars?) and never deliver, so can they.

If you don't think SpaceX is delivering, you're not paying attention. No comment on the ground-based stuff though :)

I believe Jaguar is planning to reveal a concept car on Dec 3. So we'll have something to talk about other than art school films soon.

This is apparently the concept they are debuting soon. Yikes.

Looks like cone visibility might be a problem for autocrossing :)

So much for the "grace" part of Jag's old timeline. There are a bunch of art school grads having a really fun time with this. I wonder how many engineers are involved?

Are the taillights inside the rear grille? I would find it hilarious if that rear "window" was a roll up cover for a pickup style bed.

You know what?

I'm not even mad.

Sure it is silly and ugly and not fit for purpose and whatever but.....

It is a FREAKING CAR!!!! It is not another bloated SUV. That, however minor, is a win in my eyes.

It is so bland... also WTF is with the super long hood when there is no need for a huge engine bay? Seems like there is going to be a really poor use of space. Reminds me of 20-30's cars that had stupid large engine bays.

The nicest thing I can say about it is that I don't hate the proportions of its profile. Not sure I understand the extra long hood for an EV though. Hopefully its a massive frunk?

I'd say "at least this is just a concept and there's no way the production vehicle can look like that", but I said that about cybertruck too and look how that turned out.

Agreed.  Though I wonder how much it would improve if they just changed the render from EVERYTHING PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to everything British Racing Green.  Keep the side profile, de-ugly the front and rear, and lose the pink, and it starts giving off a Bentley or Rolls Royce "berkeley you luxury" vibe.

Ironically the Bentley looks more like a Jag, in addition to understanding aesthetics:

Actual leaked sketches of their new concept cars:

Nicely shaped cars (with box flares!), they have some Cybertruck styling going on with the smooth low-poly look.

Edit: Whoops I see Tony beat me to it.

The images are basically monochromatic so easy enough to re-shade. Not technically BRG but about as close as you can get without making things too dark:

I'm thinking it could have most of the batteries and the inverters/controllers up front to let the cabin sit lower with a generous frunk on top. That's the only arrangement that would cause this kind of layout to make sense for an EV.

Uhhh... The whole reason for the long bonnet (It's a Jag, it ain't a hoodwink) is to have a similar profile to the E-type. Their most legendary car.  And Just like the E-type it will be a matter of style over practicality.

This is clearly a case of modern business "disruption is more important than the product" practices. Jump in on the cybertruck bandwagon

If it's a frunk, you might have that shape and meaningful cargo room. Not as tall or convenient as having it all in the hatch, but that's a lot more useful space than that sort of shape usually has.

EDIT to add that so much is going to depend on details as to how it will look IRL.

Yeah, I see where they are going with it.

In my eyes, it isn't as succesful as the Hyundai 74 concept, but a very similar idea. Modernized, low poly version.
