There is a 2005 model for sale locally that is stupid cheap. Does anyone have any experience with these? I've read a few reviews and they don't seem overly bad for a Jaguar. They were owned by Ford then so there is some crossover. But it seems a cheap way to get 400hp and big brakes in a daily driver. Stupid?

There is an XJR of the same year in my family. I think it has 75k on it right now, just put on new rad hoses. At maybe 50k a new compressor for the air suspension went in as precaution. It's surprisingly reliable other than those rad hoses that seem to pop at random.

All I know about these is that they are embarrassingly slower at highway speeds than a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 loaded up with 3 dudes on a 90+ degree day. Don't ask.

The S-Type R, the car for the man who strongly feels that he should drive a handbuilt supercharged Lincoln LS.
