More. Jaguars don't restore cheaply.

20K would do a lot for it, and depends how far you go into resto. it is a rare car after all!! says it runs so thats a plus.

Have you any idea how many Q-Tips this will take:

I never liked the way that the XK120 coupes look, but I do like the profile of the XK150. Just the opposite for the roadster / drop head versions.

My dad had a '57 XK150 'vert back in the 70s. It was a head turner and a chick magnet, but damn, that thing was a bear to drive! The steering felt like the column was made of wet spaghetti and the brakes would barely stop the car. The engine sounded sweet, though.

As stated before, they are NOT cheap to restore. No way that one is worth that amount.

That dead interior is going to cost a pretty penny to be restored. Throw in all the horrors you'll find when sorting out the paint and buying the little bits that have gone AWOL over time and you'll treat the $20k as a downpayment on the resto.

Drop off at the restorer, pick up about a year later and you will drop off a cheque for 60k and it won't be concourse.

I would look for a better car since that one has already been "restored" be someone. The pieces missing will be neither easy to find not cheap to buy not original to that car.

Jag people are almos as rabid as vette people when it comes to originality , so unless the car is done right, it will be a questionable investment.

Course, if you can get the thing for 20k and wan't to build a screaming LS1 rat rod you could be there for about 27k.

Not a cheap project by any means, but could be very cool.
