I watched Jay and Randy and that Porsche 914 bit on Jay's show - good.  They both mentioned newer, 4-cylinder Camaros and how good they are.

Can GRM do a review or get Randy on the line?  Advantages?  Disadvantages?

Would GM build me one?  Using my GM discount I can base model build one for $27,000 plus tax however most dealers have opted out of the employee discount plan.

Totally suck? Not according to Randy.......

What you think?

Randy has a 2.0t 1LE Camaro that he bought new, that's how much he loves them.

I almost test drove one.  It was on my short list to be my daily commuter for my long drive.

There was much rejoicing when Chevy announced the 1LE package for the four cylinder.  And lamenting when Chevy took it away after a couple years.

There wasn't enough lamenting... people bought the SS 1LE instead.

Its only a few bucks more for the V6, tottally worth it.

I drove a turbo base Camaro and base turbo Mustang back to back, Camaro was way more fun. Mustang felt "ordinary" all the time.  Once the Camaro passed 4000 rpm PARTY TIME!! dispite haveing less power it felt alive upstairs.

Too bad turbo cars dont have a good reliabilty record and need premuim gas.

I'm sorry, but "4 cylinder" and "Camaro" should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Except that one.

This ain't an '84 Camaro with an Iron Duke, that is for sure.

It wouldn't make much sense to buy one right now in my life, but a four-cylinder Camaro sounds like an ideal, really fun daily driver.

I mean, it's good enough for Pobst and Leno after all...

Are you familiar with the boat anchor they put into the third gen Camaro?
