I am about ready to order some stock 225/70/15 tires for my Cherokee Country but would rather find a decent used pair. I found a set of 30/9.50/15 Pathfinder A/T's with wheels for a great price. My question is if that's too big of a tire for the stock suspension of the Jeep and if they would work ok in the snow. I thought maybe they would rub since its the stock ride height. This is my first 4x4.

They will fit - might be a little rubbing at full lock.
They should fit fine. I have a buddy running the same size on his Cherokee with no problems.
if youre buying new tires and want a little more meat underneath i'd go with 235/75/15, a tad wider and taller than stock.
like they said before me, those 30x9.5s ought to fit without real issues but will rub at full lock or extreme compression, of course that also somewhat depends on the measurements of the wheels theyre mounted on. i had to trim a couple little chunks of plastic fender well on mine even with a 2" lift but never had any issues on or off road after that.
Check on Jeepforum.com.
I've bought several sets of takeoff alloys with nearly new tires for $250 / 5.
I ran 235/75/15 on my Jeep Cherokee and the only time they would rub was full at compression with the swaybars disconnected. This was with no lift. If the Cherokee is an Up Country then I think it has a factory 1.5” lift and no rear swaybar. Either way 235/75/15 should not be a problem
I know the 235/75/15 is $10 more per tire than the 225/70/15(I'm on a tight budget). My manual said 215/70/15 is stock and the 225/70/15 were the optional. It was the 30/9.5/15 I was concerned about rubbing. I'm leaning toward General Grabber AT2's. It better snow after buying this thing and new tires.
235/75/15 rubbing on stock rims and suspension.
It’s your call. You can always trim if they do rub.

I had a cherokee with some 30x9.5s on it. They fit fine and it was a good look.
Then i put 225/60r16 on it and it looked better and drove a million times better. Of course, it was an on-road only jeep while i had it.
