now she wants one. The specs look interesting enough. anybody drove one yet?

I saw a write up and thought it was a pretty cool recipe as well. Look forward to feedback from enthusiasts.
The design is interesting, turbo 1.6 sounds cool, manual trans. I think it is based on the versa/cube platform which has been bashed for it's bland-ness.
I don't know, man...
Every time I try to follow the "flow" of the design, one of my eyes bounces off of something that is either not exactly where it should be, or shouldn't be there at all.
It may take a few days to get both eyeballs pointed in the same general direction again after seeing this thing.
>>EDIT<< Oh, I get it now... If I look away from my monitor, and squint real hard, it doesn't look so bad!!!
It's certainly not bland looking. Kinda like looking at an animal with natural camouflage so you can't tell where it's head is, your eye can't really find any place to land.
Build a rally version of that lowered one and I could drive it in the dark! Kinda like a couple of girls I dated many, many years ago.
I don't mind it. I also think that of all the current pedestrian/econo-box/"cheap" cars produced today, it's the wacky, distinctive-looking ones like this that will have any chance of ever becoming collectible in the distant future.
I kinda dig it, especially from the front. I also like the idea of a small efficient runabout that I can fly around gravel roads with. Hopefully it turns out to be fun to drive.
Thr blue one looks like it ran into something and got the front end pushed up. The black one looks much better and if it wasn't for the snake-eye looking headlights might actually look good.

that's funny.

Black hides a lot...
In reply to bravenrace:
black is also supposedly slimming. maybe thats why it looks less like a bubble.
As Fugly as most Sneakers theses days....
I saw the ad today as well i think i saw a "POWER" switch. Must change boost curve ect?
Ugly.
Looks to me as if a Beetle, Cube, Kia Soul, and Portia from Cars had an orgy and this is their offspring.
Brian
Gross!!!!
Yet another car that has the right drivetrain in the wrong body. How hard is it to make an attractive looking car and match a decent drivetrain with it? Nissan (and many other car companies) need to fire their stylists and start over.

It's nice to see one company has bucked the trend of model bloat, why this model has gotten significantly smaller as its gotten older.... wait a minute... Nissan didn't design the first one...
Two different companies made crossovers that have the design flow of a train wreck? Unpossible!
