I have an El Camino I'm doing the JGC steering box upgrade on. I wanted to keep my pump and lines. Just a plug-and-play. Just found out Lee Manufacturing, which makes the flare seat adapters you press into the pump, is out of business. I bought a set of o-ring to flare adapters from Speedway Motors but it turns out the pressure side one is the wrong size (too loose). Can't find the right adapter anywhere. I know they make o-ring-to-AN adapters, but then I have to buy new lines. Can anyone help me keep this cheap upgrade, cheap?

What year elky? On my 64 with the jgc swap, im running serpentine accessories and a late model pump.

You have the option with the earlier pumps of using a later pressure port fitting screwed into the back of the pump and late model lines.

Somewhere in the giant jgc thread over on chevelles.com is another few guys that did it like that.

'72. I saw your thread on your '64, nice work with that. So perhaps an 80's Chevy V8 should have the right pressure line?

Edit: totally misinterpreted your post. You're screwed.

?

Edit #3: if that fails you can source some AN tube nuts and just cut your PS hard lines, put nuts on, and flare the end. Then o-ring to AN fittings can be used.

Late 80s pump. Take the fitting out of the back. Put into your pump. Use late 80s s10 o ring lines.

this, except with PS lines for an '80 Camaro with a 305.. NAPA even has a return line listed, and i think both lines will cost under $30 total..

there are several ways to get this done that don't rely on silly inserts..
