I picked it up yesterday - '06 touring with 41k for $10,500.
I had about a 30 mile drive home and didn't even turn on the radio.
The car is a blast to drive. I wish I would have made this decision a long time ago.

Here is some frame of reference.
In 1993, I bought a '90 Miata (4 year old considering made in1989) for $10.500
In 2010 (barely 2011) you too buy a 4 year old Miata for $10,500
Both had about 40k miles.
I hope you too enjoy yours as much in 17yrs as I still enjoy mine.
I think you got a killer deal.
This website says the following:
http://www.dollartimes.com/calculators/inflation.htm
$10,500.00 in 1993 had the same buying power as $15,979.31 in 2010.
$6,900.00 in 1993 had the same buying power as $10,500.69 in 2010.
First, congrats!!
Second....Holy crap, either prices have come way, way down or I got ripped. I have an '06 Grand Touring, had 27k miles when I bought it last February and paid way more than that.
You'll love driving the car, and you'll get used to the seat eventually.
In reply to Klayfish:
prices haven't come down, i looked at an 07 GT the other day, 38k on it, mazda certified, asking 16,900 internet price, 17,900 on the sticker.
I dunno, we got our 2009 for under $5k. It needs a wash though

Catalog schmatalog. We got our first Miata over Thanksgiving and had bought parts from you by the end of the week without a catalog. Internet FTW.
You'll need to log in to post.
