I might try to put a list together...someday. I have 62 currently, owned 11 before I had a license, currently 56 years old, longest ownership is 1969 Mustang Convertible bought in 1976 (it was a 7 year old car then!), last year I added 9 and subtracted 11 cars, first car 1969 Shelby Mustang in 1974 and last added is a 2004 Mustang Mach I.
Bought most on purpose, had many given to me and have given many away.
Bruce
Okay so here's my list.
82 vw rabbit
90 vw golf Wolfsburg edition
93 mazda 2200

I've owned 45 rabbits. I'm not going to try to count everything else.
Just added another one....
I'm feeling completely inadequate.
'77 Monza Spyder
'81 Pontiac Grand Prix (worlds slowest car)
'87 Buick Century
'76 Corvette big block swap
'94 Firebird Formula
'98 Jeep XJ (most reliable I've owned yet)
'78 Cherokee Chief
'78 Wagoneer
'74 CJ 5
'13 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubi
'02 Z06

Surprisingly few for a hard core "Car Guy"...Under 15 over 40 some years if I don't count a few parts cars that flowed through.
MG midget
MGA
Fidget (MG Midget with Fiat 124 drivetrain)
MGB GT (still own this one)
Pontiac Boat (AKA the Puerto Rican Mobile)
Toyota Corolla
1971 Mustang
1990 Miata
TR7
2002 Protege
2013 FRS
It would appear from the list that back seat room is not the "Buy" trigger in my psyche
I quit counting north of 100 (age 53), but that number does include a few parts cars. My longest "termer" was a '61 Fiat 600 that I kept 10 years, and my longest daily driver was a MR2 Turbo back in the '90's. My shortest ownership was 3 hours. I bought an '85 MR2, sold it without ever having picked it up.
Favorites...it would have to be my '73 Alfa GTV, followed by a highly modified '74 X1/9. Special mention would be the 944 Turbo, TR4A, 240Z, and '85 MR2 that I turned into an ITA car.
Lately, I still miss my 370Z. Some people don't like them, but I regret selling it.
Current daily is a '12 MINI Cooper S.
Another lightweight here...26 years old, 6 in total, down to 1 at the moment, but currently looking for #7.
-94 Volvo 850 sedan, N/A, 5 speed
-90 Integra RS, 4 door, 5 speed
-96 Volvo 850 Turbo sedan, auto
-97 BMW 328is, 5 speed
-98 Camaro Z28, 6 speed (former dd, current engine donor/Partout)
-96 Jeep Cherokee, 2 door, 5 speed (former winter beater, current dd)
Plus a series of motorcycles, some of which even worked!
All from the 90's so far. Only overlap was the Cherokee/Camaro up until recently and now I hate being down to one car again.
I see you too have traded a motorcycle for a laptop. Dumb descions of youth.

I have a list (somewhere....). Around 75 cars owned. Went up by one as recently as last year. Apparently I never learn (quoting the wife on that).
I've realized since posting that I forgot about at least 6 cars...
My list is way short compared to some of you guys, but hey there's still time. I'm 25. And apparently I only buy German things... Except for Miatas.
In chronological order:
1981 Porsche 924 (race car) Yeah my first car was a track-only car. Poor decisions
1998 BMW 328is
1990 Mazda Miata (Still lives on with my dad.)
1985 Porsche 944 (race car)
1994 BMW 325is (current race car)
1996 BMW 328i (still own)
1998 Mercedes C230 (still own)
Too many to remember, or to list. But I can separate it this way:
Oldest car I've owned--- 1966 Chevelle (1st car), 1966 Rambler American
Newest car owned--- 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan
Lightest car---- 1981 Plymouth Champ
Heaviest car--- 1971 Cadillac Eldorado
Cheapest car I've bought--- 1978 Nova (traded for a pair of speakers) or 1977 Impala 2-door--- $100
Largest machine I've owned--- 1984 Ford 15-passenger van (Super Happy Fun Bus)
Fastest car I've owned--- 1994 Miata R (with Flyin Miata turbo)
Slowest car I've owned--- 1977 Nova (tired straight 6)
Prettiest car--- 1973 Datsun 240z
Ugliest car (in the eye of the beholder)--- 1984 AMC Eagle
Best built car--- 1979 Mercedes 450sl
Favorite car I've owned--- 1997 BMW M3
It's taken a few days to put this together and I know I'm still missing stuff, but here's a rough list.

There may have been more Imps and derivatives, but I used to buy/sell/break them so I sort of lost count.
With this lot I’ve had front and rear engine. FWD, RWD, AWD and 4WD. Body on frame and unibody. 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 Cylinders plus a rotary. I’ve had in line, flat and V configurations. I’ve had NA, turbo and supercharged (one of the many iterations of the 94 Mustang). I’ve had American, European and Asian cars. I’ve had cars from defunct manufacturers. I’ve had steel and fiberglass.
Still need to have 3, 10 and 12 cylinders. Never had a diesel, never had an Italian car, and never had an aluminium or carbon body.
As far as bucket list I haven’t even scratched the surface and probably won’t.

41 as of last count.
I got my list finished out now. Missing a lot of countries (Italy, France, Australia) that should be easy where I live. My new years resolution is to change that. Off to buy a cheap Alfa or Fiat Spyder!

Nope, 64.75, the VW/Harley only had three wheels
