Congratulations. It's an 85 Audi quattro Coupe.
100K, dead original and un-modified rally icon. I grew up watching these things fly through the forest in England and now I finally have one. YAY.
You guys are truly amazing to figure that out, or seriously sick. Well done.
Holy cow! I guess it took a while for someone to say ur-Q because it's so rare for that dream to come true!
Car looks great! Adopt me.
One of 66 '85 UrQ's imported.
I like the '84-'85's because of the updated fuse box and dashboard/instruments.
However Audi imported WAY more '82-'83 models...

Was this bought from the guy who has the "In the Garage" blog? LOVE the sound of the turbo 5 cylinder... Looks great!
Yes, that's the one. I think he has another one he'd sell if the price were right.
Car needs a name. Any suggestions besides "Michelle"?

Vier is 4 (or quatrro) in German.
Sounds just like our Veer which has the following definitions which seem correct.
1) To turn aside from a course, direction, or purpose; swerve: "a sequence of adventures that veered between tragedy and bleak farce" (Anthony Haden-Guest). See Synonyms at swerve.
2) To shift clockwise in direction, as from north to northeast. Used of the wind.
3) Nautical To change the course of a ship by turning the stern to the wind while advancing to windward; wear ship.
v.tr.
1) To alter the direction of; turn: veered the car sharply to the left.
2) Nautical To change the course of (a ship) by turning the stern windward.
n.
A change in direction; a swerve.

Are you in Michigan still? I'd love to see it if you're on the west side.

Yeah.
I love the dancing he does on the pedals.
nice buy, color me jealous
Well the wheels finally came in and I immediately slapped some tires on them and bolted them on the car. What do you think?
Then I took it out to the lake for Memorial Day.
In case you're curious the wheels are BRAID Serie 6 R 3 piece, 15x8 with 225/50-15 Kumho tires.
I approve of the new wheels!!!

Thanks, what about the windshield banner?
I know thats a pretty rare car. How rare is it? What kind of power does it make? Congrats on the very cool toy!
I approve of the wheels, windshield banner, and front license plate.
If I ever have enough money I am going to have to order some wheels from you.

They are pretty rare in the US, 85s even rarer. 66 brought into NA, 17 in Canada where this came from, I believe.
It makes a little over 200hp whcih is not a lot these days but in 86. phew! Watch out. It has quite a bit of lag and I've seen 1.5 bar of boost (20psi) indicated. Once the boost comes in hold on.

Wow, that car is nice. Those pictures look like the northern lower peninsula area. Petoskey maybe?
awesome! really gorgeous car.
my japanese instincts told me no, but 2 years ago i was on the hunt for an old quattro of some sorts for a winter car, i mostly wanted the 5cyl howl to haunt my neighbourhood.. Almost bought a coupe GT till i found out it was FWD.
No fornetti14, all SE Michigan.
I had a fwd Coupe GT back in England 20 years ago. It was a fine poor man's quattro so to speak but the sound was still awesome.
