Hahaha, more like a 914 1.7 long block for $20.
Guy had it sitting, said he was going to scrap it. Picking it up tomorrow. Says he has a trans to go with it for another $20!
What kind of trans fits in a Bay Window Bus?

The motor will bolt up to the trans in a bay window since its the same motor they used post 72 anyway.
The porsche 5-speed can be adapted but its not a simple bolt in.
BE VERY careful of that one, and the 2.0 as well. They LOVE to eat wallets and all of the contents inside.
Heads are a big problem, exhaust studs, oiling, main seals, over-heating, injection and all of the rest pretty much. Don't bother with the single mount Weber, go right for the dual Kadrons for a reliable engine. I worked at a VW Bus shop and we replaced MANY more of those than we ever repaired. Buy the time you get them/it the engines has been hammered to death pushing a 2 ton rated van or beaten to death by someone who thought that their 914 really WAS a Porsche.
Before you even pick it up, hit Pelican Parts, Automobile Atlanta, or any of the suppliers of Porsche 914 engine parts and tune up kits and prepare to be amazed at the pricing. All of the Porsche costs without a single benefit.
Sorry to say, but steer clear . . .
Luck (if you don't.)
