One year and you get a calender... 10 and you get a t-shirt?
Isn't there anyone else who'd rather have 10 calenders, or stickers, or anything but an illfitting white t-shirt hanging in the closet indefinitely?
It's worth it for the magazine alone, hopefully it'll get to 35 years now. :)
But... I mean, it's kinda neat, but they don't even have women's sizes. Just a bit of a thorn.
EDIT: GOT STICKERS WOOOOO
I thought we got a calendar every year. I'm pretty sure my new one is out in the garage. So, maybe you'll get a T-shirt and 9 or 10 calendars !
Yup, you get the calendar every year.

I re-up every two years SPECIFICALLY so I'll get 5 t-shirts instead of your 1!
Well, the ten year price is like half of the regular sub price, which is like half of the newsstand price. So technically you're paying half of half price, which is like, what, 3% of the original price or something? The math is so difficult it's hard to comprehend even with computers and microwaves.
Thanks for your support. PM me your mailing address and I'll shoot you some stickers.

Never gotten a shirt. I only get a one year subscription each year for the sole purpose of giving the grandparents an easy Christmas gift for me each year.

The calendar comes every year.
I think I've gotten free stickers just by calling up and saying, "Hey, can I get some free stickers?"
Usually they require me answer a really stupid questionnaire, like, "How many do you want?" and "What address would you like them sent to?"
Edit: that reminds me. I'm going to have to call up and order some to stick on the back of my new vehicles.
free calendars, free stickers, free shirt. ten years of a great magazine for the cost of 10 issues at the news stand.
What could be better?

They sure are generous with the stickers. In fact, most of my furniture now sports the GRM logo.

Hrm. I have yet to see one of these elusive "stickers" you people refer to. I suspect you have to be cooler than me to receive one. Ah well, I was quite pleased with the t-shirt.... I suspect that if you see a wild-haired younger guy in either a black Mazdaspeed3, or a blue Mini Cooper S with British flag mirror covers (they were on the car when the wife told me to come pick it up because she had bought it and couldn't drive a stick yet) sporting this t-shirt at some local auto event, you should introduce yourself.
I actually ordered my stickers from the website and paid for them. I also got the 10 year deal when it was still a "limited time offer - act now"!
Am I a sucker, or what?
I'm in year three of my ten year susbscription. It's kind of crazy to think that my son will learn to drive (legally), and start post-secondary education BEFORE my GRM subscription runs out.

I feel your pain. I did the exact same thing. Speaking of that I need another T shirt and more stickers. Considering the weather I should put one on my snow blower. I was also thinking of one for the Riding mower as well (thinking lawn mower racing)
Sorry--not trying to sucker anybody. We really did intend to offer the 10-year only for a limited time, but then got lots and lots of people asking for more time (and more stuff, like the stickers), so we tried to accommodate. Didn't mean to shaft the early adopters.

I'm not sure you shafted them. It's not that you changed the deal. You just didn't discontinue it. It's not like it's a collectible item.
The GRM 10 year deal is a bit like Mountain Dew Code Red. They said it would only be around for the summer, but 9 years later, it is still here.

I received a 10 year subscription as a gift from my wife, but no shirt!
I wonder if she got one and gave it to someone else?!
I never got a shirt when I signed up for the ten year subscription (I don't think one was included when they first started the promotion) but it's still a heckuva deal. The best part is not getting those annoying YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE notices like the other car mags send out every other day.

You'll get the shirt for Christmas.

I did not get the shaft, I was an idiot. I just ordered the stuff with the 10 year not knowing that I was going to get it anyway. I was in a spending mood and just kept purchasing things.

I like t-shirts. I like the cheapest GRM subscription I can get. I like free things. When I got a t shirt and stickers with the 10 year subscription that Jessica got me as a gift, I was quite pleased.
At this point, I've got enough GRM shirts that I could probably pass for the west coast sales rep. The GRM gear is all good, well, except for the beanie...it was marketed to fit any head, but I guess my head is even bigger than Per's (the office big head test mule).

I don't feel shafted at all. In all fairness, I only opted for the 3 year subscription, as I am on a minimal budget, or was at the time.
