I agree. Is there a car that offers this?

This is what I normally think about when I hear people complaining about drive by wire: I had a brand new (i.e. 5 miles on the odometer) Chevy Aveo and the dbw was terrible. I'd push down on the gas to dart into traffic and the car would roll forward 5 feet then think about actually using the engine to propel itself a couple of seconds later. By the end of the 900 mile trip, however, it acted much more promptly. I don't know if it was going through a bit of a computerized break in period or if it was just getting accustomed to my driving style.

Whether she knows anything about the Dewey Decimal system or not is irrelevant to my needs. When I roll on it I want it to respond eagerly.

the cluster is difficult to glance @ while driving.....Yes.... I hate the whole car do it for me thing almost all newer cars do... and the blind spot "A" pillar could be better designed...
BUT.... the car drove well on the NJ Parkway. It has firm supportive seats. The base sound system sounded good. It was a very good appliance.
