So after the last autocross with the SpitBird I got it home and it wouldn't start. I had battery issues all day, so there was a lot of jump starting and cranking on a half bad battery. Since then I have diagnosed no spark, and my tuning laptop can't talk to the ECU. I verified the main power and ground pins for the ECU are getting power and ground, but still when I turn it on I don't get the usual fuel injector click and my laptop can't talk to the ECU.
ECU is a PiMP 1.2, which is basically a MS2 or MircoSquirt rebranded.
If I can't get this figured out in the next couple days, I'm going to have to go back to the stock ECU.
Any ideas?
Can you get inside the thing? Is it a MS2 or a MicroSquirt? An MS2 can be diagnosed, but I dunno about a MicroSquirt. I don't think you can get to the stuff in those.
Update: Definitely must be something in the PiMP. I just tried plugging in a stock ECU and it started right up. No VAM hooked up right now, so it only ran for a few seconds, but that verifies all my wiring is still good...

Inside the thing... Like via laptop or physically?
Laptop won't talk to it at all right now, but I can physically take it out and open it up.
Here's some info on the PiMP:

I would reach out to Stinger, etc. to see if they have any ideas. Or they might have you buy another one, depending on how they do CS/Warranty stuff.
If you could open yours and post pictures, we can try to help remotely as it might be something simple that you can replace.
Do you have a schematic for it?
Dumb question, but you did charge up the battery, yes? There's usually a voltage threshold below which the ECU won't wake up. It may be different for your Pimp than stock.

Totally fair question. I don't think that's it though. When I tested voltage on the harness today I had just over 12 volts.
In reply to Stefan :
That's what mine looks like! I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow.
I do have a thread open on the PiMP message boards. They are saying that if it was left on for a while with voltage less than 5v, that could damage it, but it should have an obvious spot on the bottom of the board. I'll take another look tomorrow and try to get some pictures as well.
