Anyone out there have any recommendations for removing tar and rubber, i.e., klag, marks on a race car with a vinyl wrap. On cars with a clearcoat I would normally use a polish or something like Meguiar's Plast-X but I am worried about damaging the color in the wrap. Elbow greas and normal car wash gets off about 30-50 percent of the rubber marks but any idea on how to get rid of the remainder? Thanks.

Mothers Racing Rubber Remover works very well on paint. Probably works on wrap too. http://www.mothers.com/02_products/09224.html

Just about anything you use will discolor the wrap; 30-50% is pretty good removal. You could have that section reprinted?

I just use windex and a soft cloth. Let it soak for a few seconds and then wipe it off in small circles using a decent amount of pressure.

Lighter fluid. Or you can get some wax and grease remover used to prep cars for painting, like this.
