Inspired by a similar thread, I'll throw this out for general input:
The Miata I bought last fall has FM or G-WR coilovers with Koni Yellows. The PO tells me he has never adjusted them and I figure I might as well think about it.
Car has unknown spring rates and FM sways. The rear bar is on the middle setting, I believe. It also has a Torsen diff.
It's a little too tailhappy under heavy power (partly because it is under-tired) but it rotates nicely under lift throttle. Turn-in is acceptable but could maybe be a little crisper. Cornering attitude is nice and flat.
Any recommendations? I don't expect a magif Right Answer over the internet, just some suggestions. Thanks.

Try full stiff on the front and full soft on the rear. It's the fastest for me when I autox, but I tend to be a little heavy with the right foot.

I'll second that. I even had the stock bar on mine cause it was a little too tail happy for me

Thanks, guys, I'll give that a shot. The car is supercharged and thanks to 15x7 wheels it's running 205s all round, so it is hard NOT to be heavy with the right foot. Wider wheels aren't in the budget this year, unfortunately.
Start with them at full soft, then start increasing the damping until the springs are under control. Unless you want to use the shocks to replace the springs in transitions :)
I'd start by trying to identify the springs. You say they're "FM or G-WR coilovers" - is that Goodwin Racing? If they're the red Eibach springs used with Ground Controls, then the spring rate is printed on the spring. Probably 375F/250R if it's a Koni setup, but it's worth checking. The rate is a three-part number like 0700.250.0375, which is length (7"), ID (2.5") and rate (375 lb/in). Sometimes they're metric to screw with you.

Yeah, Good-Win Racing. The brake kit is from them (billet caliper brackets with their name on them) but I don't know the source of the coilovers. The Konis are yellow, the springs are red, and the perches are red anodized aluminum. I know the car has FM hats in anodized purple but I don't know the source of the coilovers. This is the ex-Ed Trahan car you and I have conversed about previously.
I believe there is verbage on the springs. I will look and see if it's still legible.
Thank you as always, Keith, for the valuable information.
