Anyone have any experience with them? Tire rack has the Road Venture AT51 for a reasonably good price and I like the look of the tread design. These would be for the new to me GMC Sierra Denali.

The reviews appear to be very good 5 of 5 stars but only 51 reviews.

They look good, I was guessing they'd be a little noisy looking at the tread design and sure enough noise was the biggest complaint area by the reviewers. I've had other models of Kumho tires before and they were very good.

We must think alike. I currently have four of these in my TireRack cart for my Excursion. I would like to hear some feedback, but I may just take the leap if no one has any first hand experience.

Just out of curiosity, what other tires are you considering?

I ran them on ours for about 5 years. The tread held up well. They road find, had decent traction and stayed round longer than any Bridgestone I've owned. My only complaint was as they aged, they got hard. after 5 years and 50k miles, there was still 5/32's of tread left but those things would light up in a blaze of tire smoke if someone spit on the road. I'm talking about a 285hp 4.8 in a 5500lb truck with 3.23 gears.... not exactly a tire burner.

But that was it. I had no complaints with them other than aging out.

EDIT: In a GMT800 you'll never hear these things. Ours is an SLE (tick above uber base level) and they weren't loud enough to hear.

I thought they AT51 came out last summer? There's been other Road Ventures around for a while though.

They're available in the odd ball 32x11.50R15 I have on my Jeep, they're a front runner for new tire options for sure, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet either.

My bad... I had the KL51's. Ignore my previous post.

I really had not got to far in with my research. I sorted by price and then looked at the ratings. They were the first one that came up with 5 stars.

I have had Goodyear and Coopers in the past on my Expedition. I like the Goodyear's better then the Coopers.

I can't speak for that particular model but overall I've had really good luck with kumhos. Those and mastercraft are my go to inexpensive tire. They aren't michelins but they have good bang for the buck.

I went ahead and bought the Kumho's from TireRack, so we shall see. Can't be any worse than the Michelins on there now with their incessant howling and sidewalls that look like they are 100 years old (and have looked that way since they were about 6 months old).
