Got a few college students who want to give it a go. There are a few tracks 'round here.

Nothing more GRASSroots than lawnmower racing!
Around here they actually have a sanctioning body for it. Best bet is to show up at an event and ask questions.
I guess what I'm asking for is a "how to get started for cheap and still be competitive" breakdown from someone who does it.

There would be the added bonus of being able to mow someones 25 acre lawn in 1 minute 37 seconds 015 milliseconds
