The coffee at the very expensive food concessions is free to aco members? I've never been to the modern race, but the 2012 Historic set new standards for screwing over the captive ticket holders from a concession point of view.

Ford #67 (I appreciate the number choices for the GTs) is stuck in a gravel trap. Was it 1967 where one of the Wyer cars got stuck in the sand and burned up its clutch trying to get out?

Pretty sad for US coverage when FS would rather air Truck series qualifying over Lemans. :( oh well.

I watched some of it on FS 2. Before the trucks.

Man, they must have to treat the flaggers for repetitive strain injury after waving blue flags for 24 hours non-stop.

Watching the in-car feed from Porsche #2, I've realized a few things.
- you can really tell this used to be a cross-country race from that viewpoint. Screaming along a country road from the town of Le Mans to the smaller town of Mulsanne and back. There are no lights, just reflectors.
- race cars today sound awesome. Hearing the car hit v-max then the whine of the hybrid system as it recovers energy then pours it back into to motors. It's otherwordly. With all the complaints about how "F1 doesn't sound the same as it used to", they need to capture that noise and put it on the TV feed.
- these things are FAST. 1000 hp to the ground will do that, but good lord. And at night with random rich guys in Ferraris meandering around, it takes some stones to drive the LMP1s.

I love this race.

Turns out it was 1968. Brian Muir put the car into the sand on the first lap. Oops. This was after the giant FoMoCo attack on Le Mans, so it was up to JW Automotive to win the race with one of their three cars. Well, two after this.

I tried to do it legit this year and pay to stream the race from the wec. Apparently my financial institution did not want me to see it because they blocked my attempts. I don't have the patience to deal with calling them and getting it cleared so I'm outlawing it again with a somewhat nefarious stream of Eurosport 1. The quality sucks and my virus protection is working overtime but I get to watch it. Maybe I'll plan ahead next year and get it pre approved.

Full points for trying.

Being an Apple user, I paid via the app on the apple store. Then I just pop the display up on the Apple TV via Airplay. Painless to do and nice high quality video. Interestingly, it was $9.99 instead of 10 Euro.

Haven't tried via the site, but Paypal is often the easiest way to deal with international stuff like this, they have better protections for the seller.

Kieth, We have to rotate every 30 minutes to an hour on the blue flagging at the COTA WEC event. I know there are 3-4 teams that rotate at LeMans. I never let my crew work longer than 1 hour in one spot and we always got a half hour break every couple hours.

But yeah, Your shoulder is a little sore after that event.

If you aren't on it, the fox to go app on fire tv works great. I've had it on in the garage all night.

Good lord, they've been racing for 19 hours and there's 1.8 seconds between 1st and 3rd overall.

Fantastic race thus far. Maybe this says a lot about my social life, but I think I've actually watched a solid 15/21 hrs of this race thus far. 5:30am here in Akron, and I'm still watching. I paid the $11.26 for the official stream, after all

I like how there's supposedly an hour left of the race, and my TV guide still says "Auto Racing" but Fox Sports has switched over to golf already.

Thankfully, fox to go is streaming the race, still. Thanks to my phone, it's on the TV now.

Close race for the GT Pro guys.

It's on FS2, if you get that.

I found it on FS2 starting at 8:00 am eastern. It I listed as UFC post fight show.

The FOX listings of the race coverage has sucked. It has been moving all over the place. Really irritating.

And the pushed the truck race to the news channel for golf.

I guess they're simply chasing what makes them the most money on ads. I'm not surprised that it would be golf.

I've been watching the Ford and Porsche live streams and listening to Lemans radio.

I love to root against Ferrari, but this seems a little fishy.

The comments on the Ford stream imply that one of the Ford guys had to stop and fix the same thing the Ferrari is being looked at for.
