Looking for a nicely-used 3 series and came upon a 3328i for a decent price. What should I know in particular?
Timing guides are trouble until 2015 or so.
Xdrive fluids should be changed at 60k miles.
Frequent oil changes are a good idea, the bmw service interval is too long, IMHO. So a lease car with minimal service would not be my pick.
There's a potential timing chain guide issue for the (N20) motor up to MY 2016. Other than that, should be a reasonably reliable car.
