What is the Vintage Air like, on a humid wintery day? They don't bring in outside air - I can't help but think they'd fog up instantly. Vintage Air has not responded to my inquiry.
I have nothing to add but my son - who once hated trucks, is building a 454 to go in his low mileage one owner original 4 speed truck.

I'm remembering either a TV show or a Movie. This would have been in the late 80's. It was about an undercover cop who was infiltrating a long distance street racing group ( think from town to town instead of quarter mile) searching for the leader of a gang of thieves. They built him a racer which happened to be a LWB Chevy truck. It was heavily lowered and supercharged. Anyone know what I"m talking about?
I also vaguely remember either a TV show or movie with a couple of bounty hunters with a blue or brown step side Chevy that had nitrous and two fuel tanks. This would have been late 70's or early 80's.
I swear I'm not making these up. I've been trying to find them for years.

I think the movie you’re talking about Bonzai Runner. I really like that movie.....awesome cars and trucks in it!

I need to get a picture of mine. It’s a chopped 78 stepside with a supercharged 383 and a 4 speed. Air ride up front. Currently needs new wheels and tires and a new 3rd member for the 9”.
Since the engine/trans/driveline/suspension bits are ridiculously parts-bin swappable, just get the best body/frame you can. The rest is gravy.
They seem to bring stoopid money, so you're maybe better off to get something with a good body and a wasted engine/trans/rear and junkyard swap some parts.
Pretty easy to put almost any engine in there. Caddy 500 is one I've done a few times. I've never put one in a squarebody pickup, but there is some pretty easy parts-bin swapping.
Hopped up LB7 Duramax would be a fun one. Real easy to put 900 torques and 400 hp to the rear wheels.
I remembered a more recent squarebody on TV. Leonard Pine drove one in Hap and Leonard.
2 tone GMC with a camper shell and running boards. I'd drive it.
I've been a "squarebody" fan since high school in the 80's, as one my good friends had a 77 Chevy Longbox 2WD that was his dads.
In 2014, I built a 79 GMC Shortbox C10 for the Challenge that I still have. That short time ago, the prices were still cheap. The past several years they have gone up a lot. That truck was originally a 6cyl 3 on the tree combo that someone had swapped in a 350-350 combo, lowered, but did not finish (and later found some tasks were not done "right").
After sitting since 2015, I have started back on this again to fix a few things I broke, and swapped used Vortec heads on it.
