Made it to the autos how this weekend before the ice storm arrived. The wife wants to replace her current Highlander at some point and she liked the 500l since it was the closest to her current car in size and visibility (the newest highlanders are way too big, ugly and expensive in her mind)
So what can the hive mind tell me? What are the horror stories?
There are a couple of us here that have one. I have just under 30k miles on mine now. I havent really had any issues. The interior is nice and roomy. 4 full size adults can ride in it comfortably. Gas mileage is good, usually around 32-34 mixed. The general consensus when they have come up here before is people think they are ugly but I dig the way it looks.
I test-drove one as soon as they came in at the local dealer. I really like the way it drove. The 1.4T is adequate when paired to the six-speed.
I liked it, and could have gotten one if we needed something bigger.
