Recently acquired my Jeep Cherokee. 2.5 4 cylinder, carb'd 4x4. Have some tricks up my sleeve for the future. For right now, i totally want to go all ZAV'd out on it. Found a Jerry Can Mount of Ebay for something like $25 shipped, and Jerry Cans are pretty plentiful on CL.
Now, where the hell do i mount it? Think i could get away with mounting it on the passenger rear quarter?

Tailgate...
Then add following: Snorkel, lift + bigger tires, brush guard/skid plate, bunch of unnecessary Hella lights cause it's Hella cool, and then a big manly smoke stack exhaust, then you can fordge 6' deep rivers and still come out the other end...
The Jerry Cans were stolen off my neighbors Jeep last week so be mindful!
haha! Im getting the Rusty Offroad 3" Lift, something like $250 for new springs/shocks up front and add a leaf to the back and finding some 31's. Was going to buy AngusMF's Megasquirt 1 and find a 2.5 fuel injected mani and injectors and do fuel injection on it.
The only thing wrong with it right now is it has a leaking clutch slave cylinder, but luckily its external, so all i need to do is crawl under neath and swap em' out. Oh, and the flat black isn't finished yet... (wasnt my doing...again)
Jerry can on the roof rack.
Guys in the club I was in put them out back, easy to get to. If you have enough bumper, the seing out thing is handy.
The roof is cool looking, just make sure of your garage door height. If you off road, check the departure angle so you don't blow yourself up on a rock.
Have fun!

Add a Jerry can mount to the spare carrier and a hi-lift jack above both of them.

I don't know much about jerry cans but that is a bad assed Cherokee.
You need a way to jettison the fuel can - perforate it - then ignite it.
Ought to be good for taking out several dozen zombies.
Or one tailgater flashing his high beams.

this is the one i bought on Ebay last night. $25 shipped to my door! Thinking about going to an Army Surplus store to see if they have any cans for sale...
Rear bumper needs to get replaced with something a little beefier - then start attaching stuff to it. Trailer axle with some tubing welded to it makes a good swing away tire carrier - add cooler and jerry can racks - high lift jack too
Roof rack, angled mount keeps the lid from leaking.

i need that rack for the roof of my astro to go with the ladder i picked up for the back door. spare tire going on left, ladder on right, jerry can probably on spare tire mount from ORU. awesome stuff this ZAV building, just wish mine was not going as slowly as it is.
