Thinking of going this year - any tips? From the website it looks like the main public day is Sunday and the stuff earlier in the week is for participants. I'd just be going as a spectator, particularly interested to see the Shadows.

Prepare to be overwhelmed. Traditionally they have a cars and coffee event Saturday that would kill most car shows. Then Sunday they have the Concours. There's cars there you've never realized existed. But the whole thing is cool as hell as in you can walk right up to million dollar cars.
Saturdays car and coffee is free to get in which is nice, and a ton of different marquee clubs show up.
The facility is awesome and Amelia island/ fernandina is a super cool town.
I will have a spot Saturday for my corvair.
I go up for the Sunday event every other year so. It is wonderful. They have so mich really ridiculous stuff that you start to pass the one-of Ferraris and Lamborghinis by. I enjoy the brass era section every year because I don't get to see them anywhere else.
In the covid era, know that you are going to be on a full bus between the remote parking lots and the venue. The ticket taking/security area and the first 200 feet of the entrance are busy all day. Beyond that, there is enough room to spread out.
Go early. Like be in the gate line 30 minutes or more early and you get to see a lot of the cars moving up the entrance lane. Best part of the show. OK, parked here...
All good tips. And I know an Edsel-Shasta trailer pairing that's going to be on the field Saturday for the Cars and Coffee. (I also know I really need to finish those pillows and tiebacks.)

There will be many, many cars outside of the main show areas, so plan to walk around. Also, people show up in some incredible rides just to attend the show. The parking lots are usually better than most car shows. If bringing a camera, make sure to have LOTS of film, SIM cards or spare batteries. As mentioned, there will be vehicles there which you never knew existed by custom coach builders, one-off race cars, prototype and concept vehicles and specially commissioned cars. Wish I was going again.
If you are going, please start a thread and post pictures.
Yeah, take it all in. Like, the lamest car on Sunday's showfield will still be amazing: so many prototypes, one-offs, race cars and cars with just amazing stories.
You'll need to log in to post.
