MIL has an 06 Sentra 1.8S auto, she got it new and it has been relativly worry free. Till recently. First complaint was an "airplane like noise" coming from the rear. I looked at it, and the rear tires were shot! so I said replace em, and get it aligned due to it having 88k on it and it's on the original set of tires. My assumption, but they were really bad. (at least I don't have to worry about her having a blow out on em anymore) Still has a dull roar coming from the back, and I want to say it's the drivers side, but it's definately there. Wheel bearings? Rock auto lists the non ABS hubs for roughly 26$ a piece, but 88k miles and they're bad? or could it be a rubber strut/shock isolator that's decided to give it up? The weather man is saying rain all night tonight and into tomorrow, so I'm planning on stealing it Sunday and taking it home to put it on jackstands and crawl around under it.

Second issue is sometimes it's not wanting to rev past 2k rpms at times, as in getting on the interstate for her to goto work. It just started this this week, but??? Put a code reader on it, and got 725, 335, and 11. 335 is the crank position sensor, 725 is engine speed input circut malfunction, 11 is intake air circut malfunction. At least according to http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=99410 Seems to be a common enough malfunction, but A. is this really that common on a "relatively" low mileage example? I mean this thing is seriously babied driving wise, I mean this woman scares the bejesus out of me on the interstate. Bad enough I've sworn I WILL not ever take a road trip with her where I have to ride as a passenger with her again. Sticks to the right lane, to the point if she comes up on someone doing 50-55mph in it, she will not move over to pass them and continue at 70mph dead on. She did it in ATLANTA on the bypass.......... That's all I'm gonna say. No dirt roads, no racing, etc. Classic "old lady" driving habits.

noise could certainly be wheel bearings.

Crank pos. sensor wouldn't surprise me, Nissan's in general are bad for crank and cam sensors. And yes, sounds like a bad wheel bearing. Obviously check it out when you have it on jack stands, but wheel bearings on a Nissan or Infiniti isn't surprising either. All it takes is a little curb bump or some rust to start inside it. Those are super easy to do, though, so not a big deal.

Get the $50 or so wheel bearings if you don't want to do them again in ~30K miles.

You should be happy that you have to deal with a Sentra the wife's POS cruiser's wheel bearings went at 40K miles with a couple of sensors, tie rods, CV boots, and few other things

Wish I would have seen that a little while ago before I ordered the bearings. Though I the non abs ones are fairly cheap, I think there was 5$ between the two listed. I coughed up the 10$ extra to get the sensors locally today vs ordering and waiting a week on those. That seemed to do the trick, no check engine lights on a 30 min stop and go test drive. So one problem fix, though OMG what a PITA sensor to get to from the top of the motor. Should have brought more than a ratcheting box end wrench set with me over to moms during the rain break.

I was going to post an easy way to check wheel bearings but that would be redundant. As far a her driving, that is her prerogative. I see a lot of drivers who are reluctant to pass for what ever reason.
