I've only seen one in the wild. It was at one of my first autocrosses. He ran a better time than me. I'm gonna say it was the car over the driver.
It's good to know that you can drive on three wheels if you had too. 
is all this brings to mind is when clarkson on topgear talked about them comparing the newer one vs a BMW or something like that for a dog race camera car... talking about how quirky the old ones where vs the new ones and such...
I got to meet a local Citroen enthusiast today to show me some of the ropes on the DS. I love it - love the design, the plush ride, the innovative features, the quirkiness. Now I just have to be patient and find the right car in my price range.
And on the plus side to ride quality, 3 extra inches of snow clearance in just a lever-pull away...
All I know is that the guy in the show "The Mentalist" drives one in the show.
