On my 08 S2000 I had to top replaced about 5 years ago, it has held up great, but the shot that did it is 2 hours way as I have moved. The issues i have is that one of the looops of fabric that wrap around the support structure has come unglued. This looks like an easy fix to me, but I cannot get a clear answer on WHAT glue to use... some say it soent matter some places seem very picky, my wifes uncle works as admin staff fo a local body shop and gave me some 3m 08088 but it states explicitly it is not for vinyl tops and when i tested it on a Tshirt it held poorly at best. What do you guys recommend?

For those of you familiar with the S2000 it is the cross bar seen at the top of this image: http://s.hswstatic.com/gif/convertible-s2000-linkage.jpg

Or the 1st bar in this image: http://www.autotopsdirect.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/honda-s2000-glasswindow-straps.jpg

I'd say it's too far gone, just ship the car to me and I'll dispose of it for you. Really I have no idea though, never had a convertible, though I do want one bad, good luck
