Evap issues are a problem with everything. Don't like it, don't get an OBD-II car.
On the flip side, we have to monitor evap because the engines run so clean nowadays that evaporative emissions is a very significant chunk. One statistic that is eye-opening is that an uncontrolled car pollutes more just sitting in your garage than a '96-up car will do cruising down the highway.

Oh I like EVAP systems. Hell, I went through great lengths to keep it functional in her Spitfire. It will stay in my GT6 no matter what I ever do it. I want to add an EVAP system to my 64 Mini. The idea of willingly removing a perfectly functional system makes no sense to me (which I've seen people on this board do).
I just wish 90's BMW's didn't have such close tolerances on their monitoring parameters...

And now we take some time in our episode for "real talk".
Listen, the merc in the photo is awesome, but truth is, when will you have time to lower, clear/smoke the ambers, locate install body kit, locate color match wheels, paint car, and you still haven't messed with go fast parts.
In comparison the M3 requires wheels... DONE!
Your too young to be fooling around with the Merc! Get the M3, get some wheels, go to a track event, then go chase some tail!
Plenty of married guys I'm sure will back me up on this! Now is your time so enjoy it!
