Was browsing craigslist and came across add for 94 geo metro vert for $450... Started texting owner, clear title car, main issues is unknown coolant leak and voltage drain somewhere, and smashed windshield. Guy claims starts right up and drives with no issues. But oh for love of god the color
Offered the guy $250 and he’s considering it! Part me says run away from this chick magnet, but 250 vert... hard to pass up. I’ve heard this cars are dead reliable tho, and I’ve been searching for cheap DD beater
Good news is you won't be hard to miss..
First order of business would be rattle can maybe black/black primer with lime green wheels
I see a guy almost daily who has one of those in the same color, fitted with some 20" rims.
Simplest/cheapest car there is to work on. Not a powerhouse, but I have love for all things Suzuki (/Metro, Tracker, etc.). Convertible should have a lower geared transaxle if a 5 speed. Have fun.
Yes, awful color. Ahh, 90's Geo.
I kind of want one of these or an aspire/festiva for a cheap daily. Go for it!

I want one of each! We always called the Metro verts rolling-bathtubs back when they were new. Now I want one!
Hmm metro Ute would be interesting too..

Double check where the lower control arm attaches to the unibody. This area can get rusty and is generally what kills these cars.

I considered buying one in baby blue with a rod knock (but otherwise clean!) for $900 and sometimes think i should have. Tiny, funny looking cars give you so much more than whatever you think of the spec sheet. The silliness of them is a constant reward for people with a certain sense of humor.

In reply to John Welsh :
Those were not particularly rusty. They actually held up quite well vs the later cars. They just didn't sell in big numbers
