Miataturbo.net is a bag full of a$$holes. Don't even bother. It's the only forum I've ever been on that was aggressively rude to everyone. Also, their forum rules are designed to be newb unfriendly. You'll get the same data here without the insulting comments. You'll also get more concise and accurate data. Miata.net is a strong second from my experience although they tend to exaggerate the difficulty of DIY jobs.
You've got a great find there especially at that price point. I came from muscle cars myself. I really enjoyed the feel of the NB Miata. Watch out or the next thing you'll do is sign up for a track day.

Ive done plenty of track days in trucks, and corvettes.
But never a miata. Yet.

If you take the plug out on the passenger side, you have to take the transmission apart to fix it. 6 speed transmission fluid change Maybe put blue loctite on the bolts that hold the braces on the bottom of the car too, I had one back out on me. No big deal, but it rattled and I had to get a new bolt at the hardware store.
I keep a spare cam angle sensor in the trunk, just in case
Hmm....
Lots of stuff to take apart to change the trans fluid. This is going to be fun. Car has spent some time in the salt.
As a resident of the Salt Belt, my recommendation is a liberal application of PB Blaster a full day ahead to all the bolts that need to be removed.
I moved south. I left rusty crap behind....
Yup. Looking like this weekend will be oil change, and kroil. Next weekend ill do trans and the other fluids.
Need to give it a thorough once over to.
That's right. From the shores of The Ear-eye-ee. Near the Presk(presque) eel(isle).
That's real salt country there.
So much so that they bring it in by the lake freighter full.

God, don't remind me. Please. It'll bring back nightmares....
Im looking forward to calling out of work with that first flake this year. But not dealing with rusty fasteners...
mt.net does have a somewhat nasty reputation, yes. I'm a regular poster there (and no, I'm not one of the nasty ones), and I'd say that while there's a certain amount of truth to it, the story has grown in the retelling. These days newbies who get beat up there are usually the ones who show up with a self-entitled attitude or who demonstrate a particular combination of arrogance and lack of knowledge.
Anyhow, it's still a useful source of information for reading about Miatas, specifically in the turbo and track driving areas. Even if you don't post any new threads, it's a good place for reading existing ones.
Here's a little video reminder

Thanks! Brings back some good memories, but also reminds me of the reasons i stayed south when I had a free house in Harrisburg.
All you need to know is in the garage

I just wanted to thank Keith for posting this. My MSM has been suffering a very occasional misfire that has been getting worse. Sometimes it's a single event, sometimes it lasts a second or more. I was ready to order a new set of coils and saw this post. The cam angle sensor was only $80 and fixed the problem.
