I service an group of houses that are out in the middle of nowhere. This Saab 9-3 has been sitting in the same spot for over a year. I just happened to be next door and took a look at it. Nice inside and out. Manual transmission. What I can get from the badging is that its a 2.0L Turbo. I'm wondering whats wrong with it. I have always had a soft spot for Saabs.

I know nothing about this era of Saabs. Anyone know about this particular model?

Probably a bad engine.

Some of them can be replaced under warranty if you have enough service records.

Most of the oil sludge (if not all?) problems were in the 2.3's.

The oil sludge issue is mostly contained to the previous generation 9-3 and early 9-5's.

'03s tend to have electrical gremlins.
