Long story short, the tires that are on my my 1991 Isuzu Trooper were well past their prime when I bought the truck, and I finally ordered new tires to replace them.

I've got 5 General Grabber AT 2 tires on the way to my front door. I picked a fairly aggressive all terrain tire because I drive this truck to school every day, but still need a good amount of off-road ability. For example: I was in 3 feet of water (at the driver's door of the truck) last weekend pulling boats out of a mud-bottomed lake.

I went with General tires because my dad has been very happy with the set he has on his Ridgeline.

Now, the reason for making this post: I ordered bigger tires, and I don't think they will comfortably fit on my stock wheels. The stock wheels are 15x6, and I ordered 31x10.50 15 tires. I googled some, and I think a 15x8 inch wheel would be ideal, a 15x7 inch wheel would be okay, and a 15x6 inch wheel would be too narrow.

Will I actually be okay with 15x6 inch wheels? If not, where do I buy cheap 15x8 wheels? I don't care what they look like, nor do I care whether they are new or used.

It's a 6x5.5 bolt pattern, and I think I need 4" of backspacing.

These are cheap new.

There's a few other styles in the same price range.

15x8 is your best be for the 31's unless you want to go wider.

I thought the stock tire on the trooper was close to if not a 31-10.5-15 I think my dad's late 80's had 31's but that was a couple lifetimes ago. Either way Summit does have cheap steelies, and some even look good too. First tire size link I found on the GOOGLE, no idea of it's validity so take it for what it is.

The above seems familiar to me, but I'm not sure about Troopers. I betcha if you find a slightly newer Rodeo or pickup in the pick'n'pull, you will find 8 inchers.

31x10.50 15 was an optional factory size, mine has the 235/75/15s on it.

I spent 2 hours looking in the local pick'n'pull today– nothing. I walked the entire yard and checked every car with the same bolt pattern.

I found a set of 15x7 Isuzu "snowflake" wheels on eBay. They seem to have an almost cult-like following on the Isuzu board, and I kind of like the way they look. I think they're what I'm going to end up with.

Trailer rims. Cheap and proper offset and lug pattern.

Oddly enough, I couldn't find any trailer rims cheaper than Cragar soft 8s. Weird, huh?
