I need to put one of my cars up 20" or so to make floor repair easier on my old ass. I have seen many instances of GRM folk using them. I guess I have many questions/need instruction so 2000# does not fall on my face.

24"x24"x20"? Wheels are 15x5 with probably flat 195r15s on them.

2x4s? Plywood sides/floor? Connect them with a 2x4? Is it safe to put rollers under them?

Is there a better way? I have a QuickJack but the car seems too soft to use that yet.

Please share your experiences.

What do you mean the car seems too soft to use the quickjack?

Are 6 ton jackstands not high enough fully extended?

This is what I do. This is two stacked. These are 19.5x 19.5 and a foot high. I think the 19.5 was me getting efficient cuts from the lumber.

Are those 2x6s?

In reply to preach :

That's the parts 2002.  Shame it's so rusty that I'm afraid to even jack it up.  Plan is strip it and get rid of the shell.

Made from 2x4s but there's two 2x6's sitting on top.  I'm using it as a makeshift bench with two more stands on the other end.

Mine live next to my toolbox stacked on harbor freight moving dollies.
