I'm looking to mildly upgrade the suspension on my 95 miata (all stock). I'm strongly leaning toward the KYB AGX dampers at this point, but I would really like some suggestions on springs for a mild lowering. I see quite a range of prices and few brands I recognize. I know from much experience racing motorcycles (and spending a pile of $$ on suspension) that spring rates can vary from what is specified, and quality varies considerably, but not necessarily with price. Can anyone suggest a reliable spring source? Thanks.
FM springs are probably the only ones i would recommend. The rest either seem too low, or too weak for the ride height, or both.
Maybe Keith will pop in here and give a shock recommendation in terms of what works best with their springs, too. I'm not really a fan of the AGX, but horses for courses and all that.
Welcome!
One of the better vendors for springs and suspension is FlyinMiata:

Choose whichever package suits your budget. I would suggest a butterfly chassis brace to help the suspension do its job (and reduce the cowl shake, etc).

Some Frog arms can also help, but that's usually for high mileage, highly sprung or high horsepower (V8) cars.
Keith, Swank and others will probably be by with their more specific recommendations as I'm just going off of what I've gleaned from this forum and from my own research into Meotters.
Good luck!
Eibach doesn't make good lowering springs for a Miata? You can also get custom springs with a half inch lower ride height from a quality company and talk with them about suggested spring rates depending on your useage. Most lowering springs want to start with dropping a car 1".
