Learn me: South Florida racing.

I grew up in SE TN in a drag racing family. All I've ever known is 1/8 mile races. Now that my kids are getting a bit older and I have some extra time...SWMBO had put a moratorium on drag racing, which is a bummer because dad has parts for another car...but I digress. I have an 8 year old son and a 6 year old girl. I've had a bunch of different cars and I'm probably a below average mechanic. I'd like to know more about where I can be involved in track racing that might one day lead to things like OLOA and the like. Is that autocross? Something else? I'd love to eventually get the kids involved and hopefully make them better drivers one day. Also, is sebring the closest track to me? I'm in West Palm Beach. I'm not looking to get into this immediately, but probably could make it happen in the next year of so if things fall into place. I have quite a bit of spare time, I'm a wedding photographer so I travel on a lot of the weekends, but I'm at home homeschooling kids and working during the week from the house. Thanks in advance.

Palm Beach International is closest. They have all kinds of stuff there. Drags, road track, Karts, Mud.

I think the SCCA does track night at PBIR, thats a good way to start as a beginner.

PBIR is closest. Sebring and Homestead are about the same distance.

Thanks guys, I've been to PBIR, but only for drag races, didn't know that the road course was anything more than a drift track. I'll check it out, thanks!
