T5 pocket bearing mod:

http://www.oldwestracing.com/articles/T5TSB/T5TSB.htm

I need to redo my slave cylinder as the 280z part works but the clutch has a tendency to not fully release when driving around for a while. It's annoying.

And, I still have to pull the car apart to redo the floppy e36v8 engine mounts.

I like the Miata part better. It's easier to bleed because the bleeder and the fluid line both point straight up when it's installed. Bleeds on the car, no problem. It's about the only other cylinder I could find in the same size as the Datsun part, which is the right diameter to pair up well with the E36 master. I'm getting a little over 1" of travel which is plenty.

I edited my post on the previous page with a link to some pics. I will go back and add part numbers soon.

And THANK YOU for the specs on the shim and stuff. Future Jamey needs to learn how to fix & maintain the innards of a T-5.

Ya this one was on sale for a while in NC don't know what motor it has in it but I know it was a v6.

Also I used a toyota truck slave cylinder I liked the fit a bit better. Same size as miata.

Ordered a pro 5.0 shifter. It is not the right one for this trans.

I will call them Monday and see if they actually sell the right one for this trans...

Gah...
