I've got a line on what I think is a pretty good deal for a 56 Chevy Wagon.

It appears to be pretty complete and solid. I'm going to look at it later today.

Outside of a little exposure to them because my dad is doing a 57 post, I don't know much about them.

Plan would be a nice driver and to make a little power, sound nice, cruise down the highway comfortably and probably an automatic.

What should I look out for? Any parts unobtanium since it's a wagon? Any pitfalls? Crazy expensive parts?

Educate me please

Not many cars with more parts available.  Art Morrison makes a lovely complete frame that bolts in underneath and turns them into a pretty modern car.

You can buy darn near everything reproduction. Depending on how restored you want to go bring $$$ or $$$$. For a driver and leave the body alone they are as cheap as any chevy from the era.

You'll need to log in to post.
