So help me, I've bumped into a couple of Ramblers lately that caught my fancy. Here's one:

Another one (already sold) was a less tricked out version of this:

Is there any sort of support/ aftermarket for these things? They seem to be going into my personal island of lost Children along with old Volvos, Corvairs, Citroens, Rocket 88s and Studebakers.

As for engines:
66 and older--"Old" 327/287 Nash/Hudson Packard-based V8 engine
Very little aftermarket.
As a footnote, the 1957 327 Rambler Rebel was the 2nd fastest car made in the US--the first was the Corvette.
'67 and newer has the all AMC "Modern" V8 290/343/390 (which became the 304/360/401 after 1970--Rambler name went away after 1969).
Decent aftermarket.
The 199/232/258 I-6 is the basis of the 4.0 Jeep engine--big aftermarket.
I like Ramblers. I've been wanting a 59 American wagon for years.
I have a friend selling a '62 Rambler convertible with a Camaro 2.8 V6/5-speed swap. He's not asking much over challenge pricing for it. I can get details/pics or put you in touch with him if you're interested. PM for details.
i'm selling a 66 classic 770 v8 sedan for slightly over challenge money but you're wrong coast.
Neat cars, but a tough sell when you're done with them. The AMC community is enthusiastic, but small.
