It's late and it's damn cold in Atlanta. Don't you have a deserving younger woman who should get more attention?
Aaah, she crashed out on me. Her 5yr old's been a real bastard with all the cabin fever `round here.

no one mentioned "Talladega Nights"..
hopefully Patrick Dempsey's version of " The Art Of Driving In The Rain" will actually be worth watching
I'd forgotten "Talladega Nights"! I was prepared to hate it, but it skewers so many of the cliches in bad racing movies that I thought it was hilarious.
And I didn't know Driving in The Rain had been optioned! Always got my fingers crossed..but never get my hopes up. The original script for "Cannonball Run" was written by Brock Yates for Steve McQueen, and was going to be a dark comedy. When Steve got sick, they gave it to Needham & Reynolds, who just threw it out and decided to wreck more cars. And don't forget the guys who made "Driven" actually followed the CART guys around for a season..somehow without learning a berkelying thing.
IIRC, in the mid 1980s Frankenheimer ("Grand Prix") wanted to make another racing movie about endurance racing with Paul Newman, but it didn't get very far. I don't even recall anybody ever being hired to script the thing.
