I like blurple. You know, purples ghat look blue, and blues that look purple.
Yes, im Italian and i like flashy things. Yes, i know im a walking stereotype. And an shiny happy person.
Regardless, im seriously debating blurple on the MoCAR. For those of you that forgot, or presumed its death, its this.
So, show me your favorite blurple. Bonus points for paint code/name/source.
Have fun!

I'm very partial to Lexus Ultra Sonic Blue
Both my 2022 GR86 and my wife's 2022 Kia Carnival are supposed to be shades of blue, but in certain light they appear to be dark purple.
BMW TechnoViolet. Does not satisfy initial requirement, as it's a purple that appears purple.
Not so much Purple/Blue but maybe more Purple/Black but Mustang had a recent color that is very nice named Mischievous Purple Metallic.
I point it out because it should be an easy color to source and also a color where you can see real world examples.
Some images
Porsche Iris Blue code L39V is a wonderful color-changer.

Again more on the purple end but I have some more of this dry pearl and I also have a blue dry pearl. Mix the two of them together in an intercoat clear and you'd have what you are looking for. I only needed a teaspoon per quart of clear for this effect so I have some extra if you are interested. Heck, now Im interested enough in what it would look like I may go do a small sprayout of it this weekend
Dark Cloisonne Metallic aka Admiral Blue from 2 angles
Mazda Indigo Nights Metallic is my favorite

But since it looks like a Duster, is this the right hue?
Or what about Panther Pink?
Oooh, I like this game. I've always liked these kinds of colors, especially the ones a little bit more on the blue end of the spectrum, and not too dark. I think it is in part because when I was a little kid, my dad had a 1974 Alfa GTV 2000 in Le Mans Blue. He was so enamoured of the color, he had his SAAB 99 coupe (with homebrew turbo setup) painted to match, and the body shop messed up the mixing of the paint, so the SAAB came out a little more purple than it should have been and looked awesome!
Here's Alfa Le Mans Blue...now just imagine this, but a tiny bit darker and a bit more purple, and that was the color of the SAAB:
Here's some others that I have always liked.
VW Jazz Blue Pearl LW5Z:
Dodge Lapis Blue PC4:
Audi Nogaro Blue Pearl LZ5M:
There was a similar one on XJ Cherokees, but I can't seem to find any photos.

Yes that Chameleon purple would cover all the bases. It is purple, blue and a couple colors in between. And the 70's Duster color is called Plum Crazy.
Porsche Ocean Blau. Dark blue that flashes/flops purple in the sun.

The Plymouth color is actually In Violet, the dodge color is Plum Crazy. I think the paint code is the same though.
edit: and panther pink is "moulin rouge" for Plymouth's
Mercedes Brilliant Blue Metallic
