If the topic has been covered, apologies.

But as Ive just ordered my Racequip helmet (white), IM curious what you fine folks have done in terms of painting helmets etc

Or are most of you leaving them plain?

I come from motorcycle racing background, my race Arai was painted and many folks did the same, didnt know if many club racers or track day enthusiasts did the same on here

So post up what you got!

In the past, I used 1/10th scale R/C car graphics to “paint” my helmets.  A company called Autographics made decals for street rod type bodies, along with race car decals.  The street rod ones worked well, and I could match my suit colors pretty easily.

I have an Arai  (white) I'd thought about painting but then decided to just leave it be.  As you know Arai helmets are not cheap and it seemed like the money for painting could be better spent elsewhere.

I lost track of this helmet from about 35 years ago. Painted it myself.

I'm going through my dad's house, it might turn up. He never threw out anything.

I just have an assortment of stickers on my motorsports helmet.

My open face is black, full face is carbon fiber.

Never really thought of paint or stickers I guess.

G-Force, it was on sale - this is about the same paint scheme

my codriver has the same helmet, but he wanted stripes so we cut some vinyl ones rather than painting.

Done by a local artist based on the color palette from my model here.

Just bought a new auto x/motorcycle helmet last week and decided to spring for some graphics this time.

Steel gray Racequip I bought last year because the Zoomboni has no windshield.   Discovered the helmet cover thing and dropped $59.95 to make myself giggle every time I see it.   Shooting for "spectacle" this year, if I can hurt some feelings along the way that'll be a bonus.

Many years ago I saw a NASCAR car with the drivers name on the roof done as the driver's signature. I asked Little Mike how hard that was to do and he said "simple. Sign a paper with a Sharpie, scan it, and let me handle it." Since then I've had signature vinyl done in a handful of colors and I've put them on cars, helmets, laptops, etc. This is my first helmet, but the current one looks just like it, except not as many annual tech stickers on the side.

The former owner of my big RV used it to follow the nascar scene. His son paints nascar drivers helmets for a living. I flipped a lid at what he gets to paint one.

I never did helmet stickers back when I rode all the time; I might not ever use one to race, but it prolly wont be flashy, if I do.
