The M120 in the R129 doesn't suffer from the oil cooler issue. The M137 in pre-facelift W220s and C215s, however, is a huge pain compared to the M120.

I could have been clearer who I was talking to in my post, but I was replying to JohnRW1621's post right above mine, which was about a 2001 CL600.

Ahh, sorry. I thought it was about the R129. My apologies.
In terms of C215s, the 03+ CL55s are absolute monsters for a rather good price. De-limited, they're capable of something like 190 MPH, maybe higher.

No worries. I went down this rabbit hole six months ago when I found a CL600 with a "HUGE oil leak" for around $4,000.
Yeah, NOPE.
