I need a few small odds and ends for a 2002 Lexus is300 and I am looking for a source a bit less $pendy than my local $tealership. Any suggestions?

I need the under-hood clip that holds the hood prop in place, a driver's door lock actuator, and some other little bs parts that slip my mind right now.

Any help appreciated!

Aaron

Lexus of Sewel Texas is online, and they have decent less then full stealership pricing.

I purchased my FSM, O2 sensor, and front brake pads... along with a few lower control arms

I usually order from Park Place Lexus in Plano, TX. They offer a decent discount off local dealer pricing.

No idea how they compare to Sewel; I'll have to check that place out!

As a test, I looked up the price for a front coil spring for my '95 LS400. Park Place lists MSRP as $164.17, their price as $131.34. Sewell lists MSRP as $197.38, their price as $164.17.

I'll let the numbers speak for themselves. Specifically the odd crossover at MSRP / "discounted" price.

Though I do like their method of showing the parts diagrams with each category. That's nice.

Edit: Same shenanigans with a 2002 IS300 front lower control arm. Park Place MSRP shows up as a "discounted" price on Sewell. Seems like they don't actually discount their prices, just mark up the MSRP.

I've ordered from Park Place in the past, they're great.

The hood prop clip on my IS broke and I replaced it, iirc it was around $20. I later upgraded to a FIGs hood prop/damper kit.

I just ordered OEM parts from www.acurapartswarehouse.com and they seemed to have good parts prices and decent shipping costs. I even ordered some fiddly little parts like a console lid latch, etc. The same outfit has a Lexus arm at http://www.lexuspartsnow.com .

I couldn't find a timing belt in the park place web tool thingie, but I found it by looking up the (superseded) part number. Good thing I have a EPC. Err, theoretically. $45 ain't bad. The same belt is 40 cents cheaper at lexuspartsnow. I just blew 4x that on one for my Esprit, but that was the "super deluxe" timing belt.
