Here's me, as close to three as I can get, with bonus bogus historicism added in with software. I don't do this anymore with this car. The joke above about the windshield breaking hits very close to home, I'm surprised the dash didn't break in two.

Nah... not in Cumberland. At a place with less grip.

From the Open Track Challenge in 2003. THere was an E36 getting some ridiculous front wheel airtime in that corner, but I never put the picture online.

These three pictures were taken on three consecutive laps. I have to admit the hang time has more to do with the berm than sheer adhesion though.

I don't care what you say, but this photo combines a buttload of traction with an even bigger buttload of torque. That's what you get when you combine a big honkin' V8 with good rear-end traction. Most V8 cars would just kick out the rear end when you give it that much torque, but this one instead lifts the front.

Me likey.

Me likely too, but someone should help him balance his suspension.

World's coolest auto-x location? Where is this?? Any shots that show the facility in general?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Limits of adhesion? He is beyond them.

Way to look ahead, though.

Here's the world's prettiest autox course. Not at the limit of adhesion though.

That facility uses two parking lots at a ski resort that are stepped into the mountain. We start on an upper one, then drop down to the lower one (I like to put a slalom on the downhill section, makes life interesting) to run around before we come back up. The cool thing is that you have an elevated view of the majority of the course from the edge of the upper lot (where this picture was taken) so it's great for spectating.

Best I ever saw on the limits of adhesion was Dave Parker running his IT? Rabbit/Golf around the Carousel at Summit Point. He went 2 wheels up (at a good 45+ degree lean) for over a third of the turn. His wife was standing beside me, and neither of us breathed until he came back down on all 4.

I took this a while back. Not really the limits of adhesion, the car jumped the rumble strips but I still thought it was cool.

I'm sure this has probably been posted before but it lifts the front wheels pretty good. I also like to watch this video about once per day because it's so badass. zcars mini

WTF? Is that Infineon? Are they running some mutant configuration incorporating the drag strip or something? That looks really familiar. Plus, I don't know of any other track with blue-and-yellow rumble strips (because the owner went to Cal).

That just... doesn't quite look right.

It looks as if there may be one car on the drag strip, but there are definitely multiple cars at/near the standard start/finish line. Looks like the standard sports car configuration to me.
