You know, I looked at buying an EG new in 1992. It's been cool watching them evolve and develop over the years. I did eventually get one, and I do miss it.
Just saw the prototype go by on track; looks like it's all patched up!

Brian Faessler is still going strong in first place after the third timed session, with a fast lap of 1:49.057.
There's cool stuff here.
The UTCC field just went out for its final timed session of the day! Roughly half of the competitors are on track (JG included). The rest are staying in the paddock because they're content with earlier times, they've broken something, or both.
That last session was suboptimal. Track is just getting too hot and releasing moisture from the earlier rains. I had about half a lap within a couple tenths of my best, but threw it away chasing them. So not much to be gained except a nice afternoon drive.
Results from Friday's final timed session (please note, this is not indicative of the overall winner):
Came for the cars, stayed for the busses.

Forget a project car, I'm going to save up my money for a project bus.

I wish I could tell you it happened doing something super cool, but I snagged it while driving it up to our booth in the pavilion. Virginia has more hills than Florida, apparently.
