Live Thread: 2024 Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge

Spectacular, Material Girls!  

If, I'm not mistaken, this is the third time this "Taurus" has been to the event.  1st as a zebra Taurus, 2nd as a pink Taurus, and 3rd as a Ranger-Taurus.  

I point this out for Mr. Angry because his Corvair has only been to the event two times...the 3rds the charm!

Get a car, make it fast, and then take it over the top.  There's your recipe right there.  Taking 3 years to do it is a bonus.

Made it home.  

Brought home more stuff than I left with...

Car had zero hiccups driving from SC to Gainesville, beating the snot out of it all weekend and driving back to SC.

Still have a vibration.  

This thing was a beast on the autocross course.

I have $50 in the budget.  I know where I can get a nitrous kit pieced together for $50.  Hmmm.

Yes, that was a pain in the butt!

The no winch on trailer challenge year happened to angry and I as well. Thank Buddha and the rest of the guys for helping us get it on the trailer.

Whew.  Just rolled back home

Love being able to drive 6½ hours, 450 miles without having to stop.

We just got home too. But I'm too tired to go out and take a picture. 

16hrs straight through isn't much fun. 

Everyone be on the lookout for a stolen truck. Calvin's whole was stolen last night in Florence South Carolina !! F250, white trailer.

I told you, you needed to see it. 

Much to my son's chagrin we had to change the wheels yet again before loading it on the trailer because the RT660 on 15x9 are too wide to fit between the side rails 

I was on the right side looking at less than 1/2" of clearance. I was asking the left side folks to give me a bit more space, until they said they had less than 1/8" space in that side! 😳

...then I shut up.
