Nothing says 700 mile transit comfort like a Kirkey.
Ha. The Corolla (Dad Bod Car Mod) guys bring a trailer for...spare engine and trans!
In years past they have entered two Corollas. One turboed, the other SC'ed. I'm not sure which this one has. Lets hope it is twin-charged! Which would also lead to an understanding of anticipated engine failure.
Drama llama checking in...
P0134 O2 Sensor
Cycled the power while driving and it went away...for now.
First bathroom stop is complete!
I did the first 110 miles of transit driving, and uhhhh this isn't fantastic. This car is TIGHT, as the cage was built for Andy rather than for me, so the Kirkey gets pretty miserable after 100 miles or so. And I have to empty everything out of my pockets to fit into it, too.
So long highway trips on a motorcycle are great training for One Lap in the CRX. We put our ear plugs in, set the cruise to [redacted] and are already past Chicago on our way to Motorsports Park Hastings.
Thanks for letting me know, Apple Watch. I had no idea....
I wonder if it has a notification for "are you in a rock tumbler omg why are there so many vibrations."
Just checked the results. 10th overall in the wet skidpad! Not too shabby for our dry-focused Yokohama A052 tire choice. That's a great way to start the week.
Yeah, we're adjusting our plans. Hopefully this is just a fluke and the tank wasn't full to begin with.

Nice job Tom/Andy. Also... Chris Mayfield almost hitting 1g in the wet
We keep getting a CEL for the O2 sensor circuit, so I'm currently jiggling wires in the passenger footwell while watching the data from the ECU. This is more entertaining than a radio!
We (theoretically) just finished our last gas stop of the day and are cruising to Hastings on a fresh tank of E85. After slowing down a little bit, the car is now averaging nearly 20mpg.
